This video was the culmination of a lot of thoughts and opinions from the Doom Eternal community about the Full Auto Shotgun. I had already done a deep dive on the weapon to show a lot of its shortcomings in an objective/data focused way, and the game director had said they were going to look into buffing the weapon. In response I created this video which showcased a plethora of ideas to attempt to rework/re-balance the weapon.
This video was a lot of work to get right, but I am extremely happy with the results, as I think giving players (and in this case, developers) in depth information helps to make accurate decisions. To this day I stand by a lot of what I've said and once id Studio is more robust as a modding tool, I plan on trying out each and every idea I proposed in this video.
